My work is the expression of my personal sensibilities which influence my response to the world around me as I perceive it, feel it and understand it.

My life experiences contribute to the development of the work.

I am continually amazed by the beauty in nature. Organic forms, textures and objects are a major influence in my creative process. As a child, I collected seeds, acorns, pods, petals, rocks and shells. That obsession with small found objects from nature continues as an adult and I have amassed quite a collection. Much of my work explores the beauty of these seemingly minute and humble objects. I attempt to capture the elegance of delicate forms and strive to bring appreciation to what is often overlooked.

The process nature of printmaking and sculpture allows for a conversation throughout the creative process that enables me to push and pull the image through development. These mediums allow for the creation of delicate forms. I am drawn to repetition and multiples, which is inherent in the printmaking process.

In contrast to the technical steps to produce a print, painting is a more spontaneous experience for me. Through the use of color, painting enables me to express emotion.

At this point in my life, I have become acutely aware of the passage of time. I strive to experience the preciousness of the moments that compose my life.
